Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING (SEM)
The great thing about generating leads from search engines is intent. By typing in your targeted keyword, someone is making it clear that they are looking for what you are selling. For example, someone who types “Roses” into Google is far more likely to actually end up buying flowers from you than someone who happens to have seen one of your ads in passing.
This level of relevance is great, but the flipside is that competition for those high intent searchers can be ferocious and consequently costly. The way to deal with this is making sure that your website and any campaigns you run are well optimized for search engines. There are two key ways to do this: Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and PPC (Pay Per Click).
SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION (SEO)
When you hear people talking about “ranking well on google”, they are essentially talking about SEO. There are many factors (some clear, some not always clear) that search engines take into account when deciding where to show your website for a particular keyword. Examples are how quickly your website loads, how relevant your page is to that keyword and the searcher and how much authority your site has (are lots of relevant sites linking to it).
The most important thing to think about is content. Without relevant and recent content, it is unlikely that you will be able to rank well for a keyword. This is why you will often hear the phrase “Content is King” when talking to marketers. RED Marketing can help you by generating high-quality content, getting you quality links and monitoring and improving your website’s performance for the search terms that matter to you. We will offer a full SEO audit so that you can see what is preventing your keywords from ranking better.
PAY PER CLICK (PPC)
Google AdWords is the monster in this space and it is critical that any AdWords account is optimized in a way that not only brings in traffic but instead customers that convert and do so at a cost that is within your budget.
By setting up an AdWords account, you are essentially jumping the queue and making sure that your brand is represented when someone searches for terms that are relevant to your product. Well setup AdWords campaigns can produce an excellent Return on Investment by generating excellent leads. However, poorly designed campaigns can quickly burn through whatever budget you assign.
RED Marketing has experienced AdWords consultants that will do keyword research for you, understanding which terms are important for your business and customers. We will also design dedicated landing pages to enhance customer experience and increase the relevance of your content. This is particularly important as high relevance can improve your “Ad Rank” and save you money.
There are many different factors in setting up and managing a great PPC campaign and in great SEO. To find out more about what we do and how we can help you, give RED a call on 800 032 0130 or drop us a line.
